I love to bake. I love to create new recipes. And I especially love making cupcakes. But after I just read this book, Cupcake Envy by Amy Eilert, I truly do have cupcake envy. I am fairly new to using fondant and making fancy cupcakes, so I have not even attempted to make any of the cupcakes in this book, yet, but I will one day! This book is filled with awesome cupcakes after awesome cupcake. I was amazed at every turn of the page. As I am sure you will be, too!
There are over 35 different projects for you to try in this amazing book! They are some of the cutest and most amazing creations that I have ever seen. It tells you exactly how to make these projects and what tools you need and the best tips and techniques. Amy Eilert, the author of this book, is a certified instructor at CakeCentral.com. So you can be sure that you are learning from an expert.
There are also over 300 color photos in this amazing book to show you how to make these awesome cupcakes and how they look when finished. All of these cupcakes and little cakes are incredibly fun and gorgeous. You can make one for that special someone in your life whether that be your significant other, your mom, your dad, your children or a sibling. You can make one of these just because, or for a holiday, birthday or any other special day. And they will be so amazed at the work that you put into making them feel so special.
I love looking through this book at all of these amazing cakes and I cannot wait to try my hand at a few of them soon. I just need to get the tools to do it! And then I think I will try to make some of these for my daughter’s birthday party this June! It will be so much fun and I know she will love it!
Here is a little more information about the author: Amy Eilert founded Cupcake Envy in 2006, just one year after relocating from New Jersey to Wake Forest, North Carolina. In 2009, Eilert began hosting weekly classes for students eager to learn new, accessible techniques in cupcake and mini cake design. She travels throughout the U.S. and Canada teaching classes and judging national cake competitions including That Takes The Cake Sugar Art and Cake Competition and Cakelove 2011.
