Spring Cleaning can be an arduous task for anyone. It takes a lot of time and effort and can be very taxing. But we also need to be able to find the time and effort to spring clean our automobiles, as well. Automobiles are a very important part of our lives, so we need to be sure to take care of them, as often as we take care of our homes. I will give you a few quick tips on spring cleaning your automobiles and how to save yourself a little time, too.
Get yourself a bucket of water, maybe even the water hose and some large sponges and go to work. You can even get the kids involved. It will be quick and easy and fun. You can get fancy and get some waxes or special soaps, but trust me, a bucket of water and some simple soap is going to work just fine. Because more than likely, five minutes later, a bird will fly by and mess up all of your hard work anyway.
Drag the extension cords out, and you can vacuum the inside of your own vehicle. It’s not that hard to do. You may even be lucky and have a handy handheld vacuum, even better! You can also use wipes or even a rag lightly coated in olive oil to wipe down the dashboards to give them that shiny look! Clean out all the trash from fast food joints, the kids, and friends. You should also take this time to clean out your glove box, and remove any papers that have expired. Make sure all of your insurance cards and papers are up to date, too. And maybe make sure you have some essentials in your trunk. Maybe an emergency kit, an umbrella, and other such essentials.
UNDER THE HOOD
If you are anything like my wife, you may not know a lot about what is under the hood of a car. But there a few easy things to check, like your oil and your spark plugs. And if not, maybe you have a husband, a parent or a nice neighbor that could help. If the oil does need to be changed, you can do that, too. And to make things easier, you can shop online to buy the oil and never even leave the house. You can shop at Walmart.com and choose to have the oil shipped to or pick it up in store. Most of the Pennzoil products are on rollback right now. So you can save time AND money. I always choose the Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage oil because our vehicles rack up a lot of miles. I order it online to avoid the busy crowds and because ordering online helps me find items that are not always available in the store.
Have you taken advantage of the great rollback prices on Pennzoil products at Walmart.com? Do you enjoy the convenience and the lack of crowds? Share with me in the comments???
