LeapFrog makes homeschooling fun!

October 2, 2015 by Mom Does It All 69 Comments

Disclosure: As a LeapFrog Mom Ambassador, I receive products, promotional items and educational material to use and share as I see fit. However, any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience.

I recently became a member of a pretty fabulous group. I am now a member of the LeapFrog Mom Squad! What that means is - periodically, I will received some amazing products from LeapFrog and I will blog about my experiences with them and share that all with you, my readers! I am so excited about this amazing opportunity because I homeschool my daughter and LeapFrog has some great products that can help me with that. Not only are there products educational, but they also make learning fun! When my daughter is using these products, it does not feel like school work to her, it feels like play time! And that makes my job so much easier. She is learning a LOT and she is having LOTS of fun. My daughter has special needs and these products from LeapFrog are really helping her and it just puts a smile on my face!

LeapFrog

WORD WHAMMER

Word Whammer from LeapFrog

This awesome new product from LeapFrog, the Word Whammer, is so cool! It has 3 fun games and 5 different that adapt to your child’s learning curve. This fun game will help with phonics, identifying letters and building words. Just thrust the handle to blast a rocket into letters that can spell more than 100 words! You can also match upper and lowercase letters by spinning the handle to bump them into a car to provide the correct answer! They can also listen for a letter sound and twist the handle fast into the teacup that hold the correct letter! This game will keep them challenged, motivated and also having fun!

LEAPPAD PLATINUM

The new LeapPad Platinum tablet from LeapFrog is so awesome. It has a 7″ screen. It is a touchscreen and it comes with it’s own built-in stylus pen. My daughter is in love with it. It has a very fast processor so it is never lagging or slow. Their learning library has over 1000 different games on it, and yes some of them do cost money. But they are well worth it. The games can grow and adapt depending on how quickly your child learns. The tablet also offers access to the Web, but is is completely kid-safe! They browser is already custom designed to only show age-appropriate sites, but you can also fine-tune it with parental controls!

LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum

This awesome LeapPad is also durable and built kid-tough! It has a shatter-proof screen! How cool is that!?? It also has a camera so your child can take pictures and even make their own videos. Which is awesome, because my daughter wants to be a reporter! For cats! Haha! This Platinum Pad also boasts 8GB of memory!

LEAPPAD PLATINUM IMAGICARDS

The Imagicards from LeapFrog are probably my daughter’s favorite thing to use, so far. We received 3 different packs for three all different levels of fun! First, there is - Save Adventure Bay with the Paw Patrol! She has always loved Paw Patrol so she was so excited when she saw this! You use the camera on the LeapPad Platinum to use these fun cards. When you take a photo of each card, something fun happens with each one! There are 30 plus cards in each pack! The Paw Patrol pack teaches your child number recognition, counting, shapes, patterns, addiction and subtraction.

LeapPad Platinum Imagicards

We also received the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Imagicards. My daughter is so not a fan of the turtles, but she liked playing with the cards. And they teach addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and number composition while also allowing your child to have a little fun teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The last pack we received was the Letter Factory Carnival, which teaches your child about phonics, spelling, consonants, word sounds and sight words! These fun Imagicards from LeapFrog also have over 50 Letter Factory trivia questions to add to the fun! My daughter is learning so much and having so much fun with these Imagicards!

LEARNING AND FUN

You can also customize your LeapPad Platinum for multiple children and each child will have their own avatar and everything. You can also set timers on the LeapPad so that they are not spending too much time on it. You, as a parent, will have your own code for the Pad so that you can control their activity and usage time. I love everything about the LeapPad Platinum tablet, the Imagicards and the Word Whammer and I think you will, too!

LeapFrog Word Whammer

Do you have a little on in your life that would love these LeapFrog products?
