Every month, a few blogger friends and I get together for the Creative Hop. We all make a recipe or a craft with a certain them in mind. This month’s theme is Easter or Spring. So I have created a fun recipe for you for Easter. This recipe is so fun and easy that the kids can help. And once they are done, I think the kids will love these Rice Krispie Easter Egg Bites.
RICE KRISPIE EASTER EGG BITES
If you have ever made Rice Krispie Treats before, you know it is pretty easy, although it is a bit messy. That is what you will do for this recipe. After you have made the Rice Krispie mixture, you will put it into egg mold instead of a pan. You can also add some fun candies to the Rice Krispie mixture. I added mini M&M’s. Once the molds have set, you have fun mini egg Rice Krispie treats. To make the eggs even more festive, you will melt some colored candy melts to add some decoration to your “Easter Eggs’. That is it! Super easy and fun!
INGREDIENTS
- 10-ounce bag of mini marshmallows
- 5 cups of Rice Krispie cereal
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup of mini candies (M&M’s or something similar)
- 3 different colors of candy melts
INSTRUCTIONS
- Put the butter in a saucepan and let it fully melt.
- Add the bag of marshmallows to the melted butter and continue cooking and stirring until the marshmallows are fully melted.
- Add the Rice Krispies and still until fully incorporated. Then add the mini candies. I used mini M&M’s.
- Add the mixture by the spoonful to your egg molds or shape them by hand into egg shapes.
- Melt your candy melts in the microwave by 30-second intervals.
- Drizzle different colors of your melted candy melts onto the eggs.
- Enjoy!

My kids would love these. Rice Krispie treats are one of their favorites.
Mine too! I hope they like them!
That’s such a cute idea! I’d think about using the flavored Rice Krispies for some more color in the egg too!
Great idea, Scott!
These look so cute, and the ingredients are my favorites, I think I will make some and keep it in secret place here in my house, so I can munch on it without sharing 🙂
