It is so hard to believe that it is August already! Seems like the summer is just slipping away! That is why we have to take complete advantage of the outdoors while we still have the chance! But we cannot forget to be safe while we are enjoying the great outdoors! I have some great tips for you to do just that! Today’s post is sponsored by Buzz Away Extreme!
Pack a first-aid kit. It doesn’t have to be a huge bag that you are lugging around all the time. Your kit can contain just the essentials. Things like Band-Aids, latex gloves, saline solution, are good ideas. Need a full list of suggestions? Check out PopSugar’s summer necessities here.
Don’t skimp on the sunscreen. A sunburn on vacation can really cramp your family’s style. Not only are sunburns dangerous, they’re painful! The American Academy of Dermatology recommends selecting a broad-spectrum, waterproof sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher. Also, wearing a hat doesn’t hurt.
Drink plenty of water. Vacations can be such a fun time to partake in fancy drinks such as sodas and juice, but beware! Increased exercise and exposure is a recipe for dehydration, which can ruin any family outing.
Treat your feet. Hiking, walking on hot sand and beach rocks, and general exposure to the outdoors can cause blisters, cuts and scrapes, and dryness. Be sure to pack blister cushions, extra socks, and healing lotions to soothe feet after a long day.
Bring the Buzz Away Extreme. There’s nothing worse than itchy, red, and sore bug bites during your big camping trip. You can naturally keep bugs at bay for up to four hours with Buzz Away Extreme. It contains geranium, citronella, cedarwood, lemongrass and peppermint, some of the most effective plant oils for warding off unwanted pests. It’s DEET-free and safe for the whole family.
Buzz Away Extreme really works well. My daughter and I both have very sensitive skin and are covered in bug bites anytime we go outside and the Buzz Away Extreme works wonders!
