Are you all set for a summer trip away from the boring routine life? You might think you are, but let’s see if you have packed the most important stuff you should carry when setting off for an adventure. I have a checklist of these important things that I always keep with me while traveling. Here’s a low down on these traveling essentials:
A Copy of Your Passport:
This is the most important thing you need to carry while traveling to a foreign country. Make sure you NEVER lose your passport in another country. To be on the safe side, always keep a colored photocopy of the first two pages of your passport. This will help you getting a replacement for your passport from the nearest U.S. embassy in case you lose it.
Travel Document Holder:
I am not ashamed to admit that I am an extremely organized person. I have this travel document holder that I always keep in my travel bag. I put all my important travel documentations, cards, tickets, boarding pass, itinerary etc, in it. I would suggest something like that to you too. Please, I insist!
Travel-size Toothpaste:
You might think it’s obvious, but it’s not, trust me. Toothpaste is the most forgetful item while traveling and the most significant one.
Sunscreen:
Why? Because it’s summer, duh. The sun rays can cause some serious skin diseases. You would want the best sunscreen in the market to protect your skin from the sun. Therefore, don’t forget to keep a bottle or jar of sunscreen in your luggage.
Sunglasses:
Sunglasses might come in handy at noon when the sun is at its peak. Squinting in direct sunlight can be really annoying and that’s where sunglasses would ease your pain. While packing your luggage, make sure you include your sunglasses too.
Hand Sanitizer:
You don’t want to end up catching cold during your trip, do you? Of course not. That would ruin all the fun. How would you look in the photographs with a red nose and watery eyes? Always keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with you to keep your hands clean even when you have access to soap.
Wipes:
This item is especially vital if you are going to a beach. Pack wipes in your luggage, so that you can wipe off the sand and dirt from your face just before you take a picture.
Snacks
Did I mention I am always hungry? If you are like me, do not forget to pack a “colossal” amount of snacks for those “always-hungry” moments.
Camera:
How can I forget this? This one should be on the top. Anyway, do not forget your camera in any case. Take pictures of the sea, mountains, beaches, sunset, sunrise, your food and whatever you feel like photographing. Of course, you can take pictures of yourself and your family too if you like! I do.
