Easy Apple Crisp Recipe!

August 17, 2015 by Mom Does It All 7 Comments

Can you believe that fall is almost here! It is just about a month away. Time sure is flying. But I am not complaining. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the leaves changing colors. I love the weather, not too hot and not too cold. I love the smells of fall! And I love all of the wonderful fall recipes. Especially the ones that use pumpkin and apples! My all time favorite fall recipe is Apple Crisp. I loved it when I was a kid and I still love it today. I remember eating it all the time as a kid at home and at school! My grandmother made it all the time and she has a wonerfully easy apple crisp recipe. So now I am sharing it with you.

Easy Apple Crisp Recipe

First of all, there are not a whole lot of ingredients needed. Gather them up first. You will need 2 cans of apple pie filling. I use the larger 21 ounce cans. You will also need 1 and a half cups of all-purpose flour, 1 and a half cups of quick cooking oats, 1 and a half cups of brown sugar, 2 sticks of butter and a teaspoon and a half of cinnamon. You can also add a teaspoon of nutmeg or even apple pie spice, if you would like, for flavor.

Easy Apple Crisp Recipe

The first thing you need to do is spray a 9 X 13 pan. And also, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then you need to pour both cans of apple pie filling into the pan. Set it aside. In a large bowl, add the flour, brown sugar, oats and cinnamon. Then you need to melt both sticks of butter. Then add the butter to the bowl - and mix it all together by hand. No mixer needed. Once the mixture is completely mixed, spread it evenly over the apple pie filling in the pan.

Then you will bake this for 35 minutes in the 350 degree oven. When done, you can serve it warm with ice cream or a cream cheese drizzle or even some caramel sauce. If you have any leftover, store in the fridge. You can also heat this up when you are ready to eat it or eat it cold. I think it tastes great either way! I love this easy apple crisp recipe and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
