Lots of people all over the world are taking medications on a daily basis. I myself, take quite a few as I am diabetic. The older I get, you would think it would be easier to remember to take them, but the opposite had happened. It gets harder and harder to remember to take my medications every day. I have come up with a few tricks to help with that, over the years. And now I am going to share them with you. I hope they help you as much as they help me!
TIMERS
There are quite a few ways to set some timers throughout the day. You can buy them. You can use your watch. I even have a time on my oven that I use sometimes. You can even use your phone or other electronic devices to set timers. Those are the easiest since ever one seems to have their phone in their hand at all times of the day. There are also many apps that will hep, as well.
NOTES
Sometimes, I will leave post-it notes or a note pinned to the fridge to help me to remember to take my medications, as some of them have to be refrigerated. Or you can add the reminders to your to-do list of the day or week.
SAGELY WEEKLY PILL ORGANIZER
This is my best tip yet! This Sagely Weekly Pill Organizer is amazing and I love it. It has so many great features. First, it is magnetic, so the container for each day can be taken right off the base and you can take just that days pills with you instead of lugging the whole thing around. Secondly, the daily containers are big enough to hold multiple pills. Even those big multivitamins! Third, the two-sided flexible lids that lift easily even for those with manual dexterity issues; one side colored green, the other side blue, to differentiate morning and evening pills!
The next great feature is the clear containers that allow for visual confirmation and accounting of pills. Another great feature is the innovative PushThrough design that allows pills to be simply pushed through the perforated lid into the container (eliminating the risk of dropping or misplacing pills)!! All in all, I have to say that this is the best pill organizer that I have ever owned and it helps me tremendously in remembering to take my medications. And there is also an app to download that has timers, too! Available for Apple and Android.
