Bad Moms Night In Party!

A couple of weekends ago, some friends and I decided to have a night in and watch the hysterical new movie, Bad Moms. We had some drinks, we colored some fun pages in adult coloring books, we talked, we laughed, and of course, we watched the movie. I am sure we all feel like Bad Moms once in a while. I know I do. So we talked about that a lot. What makes you feel like a bad mom? Why? We all have those issues and it feels good to talk about those feeling with someone that feels the same way. So we had a great time! And the movie was hilarious!

BAD MOMS

I am not even going to try to condone some of the things I have done to make me feel like a bad mom. And I am also not going to feel guilty about things I haven’t done. Honestly, I have only had about THREE nights outs by myself since my daughter was born. She is ELEVEN. I know. I know. I need to take time for myself. I need to rest. She needs to learn to be independent. I know. But I am trying. She has special needs. And sometimes, I am the only one that can get her to settle down when she has a ‘trigger’ moment. That is my confession. I am sure you have many confessions to tell as well. Things that you have done to make you feel like you are a bad mom. Trust me, we all do. No one is perfect. And we have to stop killing ourselves trying to make ourselves perfect.

 

THE MOVIE

The Bad Moms movie stars Mila Kunis as Amy Mitchell, a married mom with 2 kids. Amy feels overwhelmed and overcommitted. She is finding it impossible to do her job, raise her kids, find time for her husband and time for herself. So she quits. No, she does not quit being a mom. She just quits trying to be perfect. She quits trying to do it all and please everyone. She decides to have some fun and relax. And along the way, things fall into place and she learns that even the perfect moms do not have perfect lives. The movie also stars Kristen Bell, Christina Applegate, and Jada Pinkett Smith. And it is now available on Bluray and DVD!

THE PARTY

The Bad Moms Night In that I had with my friends was so much fun! The most fun we had was when we were talking about how much we love being Moms, even though it is the hardest job we will ever have. We had some shots, some drinks, and some food. We colored! Yes, we colored! We watched the awesome Bad Moms movie. And the next day, I sent them all home with some fun goodies, like shot glasses, cups, sleep masks, and their own coloring books. It was a great time, and I cannot wait to have another fun night in! Without the kids! LOL!

  6. Love it! I’ve yet to see the film however I’m thinking it’s going to make me feel better about all the mistakes I did as a young mom. Heck, my boys would probably say I’m still making those mistakes. Ha!

  8. I got a sneak peek of the movie this summer and I can’t tell you how much I loved it. Every mom is a Bad Mom and needs a wild and crazy night out. Sometimes we need to let our hair down. haha
